Saudi Rail Conference and Exhibition to Launch in Riyadh on November 20-21, 2024

Under the patronage of  the Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Railways, Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, Riyadh will host the first edition of the Saudi International Rail Conference and Exhibition, “Saudi Rail,” on November 20-21, 2024, at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, to showcase the latest developments and innovations in the railway sector at both local and international levels.

 the Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, confirmed that this event aligns with the significant developments taking place within the transport and logistics system, including the railway sector, emphasizing the substantial support provided to the transport and logistics sectors by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince – may Allah protect them.

 Al-Jasser outlined the crucial role that railways play in the Kingdom in supporting economic and social development by facilitating the movement of people and goods, supporting trade and tourism, serving pilgrims, and contributing to maintaining road infrastructure and reducing carbon emissions.

The Saudi Rail Live Exhibition is the leading regional event aimed at connecting railway operators with one another while highlighting the latest advancements in the railway and transport sector, focusing on strengthening cooperation ties between global transport service providers and local companies. The event will also encourage global companies to expand their presence in the Kingdom to contribute to the development and growth of the local transport sector, as well as promote the development of modern national programs to enhance this sector.

Furthermore, the CEO of Saudi Railways, Dr. Bashar bin Khalid Al-Malik, stated that hosting this qualitative event reflects the leading role played by the transport and logistics sector and confirms the Kingdom’s position as a global hub bringing together stakeholders in the railway sector from around the world under one roof
