JRNY Concludes Fintech Industry Retreat 2025 (Vol. 4) in Partnership with FRA Sandbox

JRNY announced the successful conclusion of the Fintech Industry Retreat 2025 – Volume 4, held from December 3–6 in El Gouna, in partnership with the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) Sandbox), with strong participation from FRA leadership

The retreat welcomed senior officials, including Eng. Ahmed Khalifa, Executive Director of the FRA Sandbox and Chief Data Officer, alongside advisors and deputy assistants to the FRA Chairman, whose participation strengthened regulatory dialogue and reinforced Egypt’s commitment to building an innovation-friendly financial ecosystem

JRNY expressed its appreciation to Dr. Mohamed Farid, Chairman of the Financial Regulatory Authority, for his continued support, which played a critical role in amplifying the retreat’s impact

The 2025 edition brought together more than 130 senior leaders from fintech startups, banks, financial institutions, regulatory bodies, investment firms, and ecosystem enablers, cementing the retreat’s role as one of Egypt’s leading platforms for fintech strategy and collaboration

The retreat was supported by key industry partners, including Raya Data Center, Farida | Coldwell Banker, and Lucky, whose contributions helped create a highly collaborative environment

Across three days, participants engaged in deep-dive discussions, masterclasses, and strategic road-mapping sessions focused on:

Strengthening collaboration between regulators and the private sector to accelerate innovation

Advancing financial inclusion and improving access for underserved communities

Exploring real-world applications of AI, blockchain, and cloud technologies in Egypt

Enabling startup–corporate partnerships to drive scalable fintech growth

JRNY reaffirmed its commitment to community-building and impact-driven dialogue, noting that the retreat’s outcomes will be presented in an official meeting with the FRA to inform future policy and industry initiatives
