Blue Ocean Launches Cairo Operations, Hosts First IPSC Procurement & Supply Chain Event in Egypt

Blue Ocean Corporation has officially expanded into Egypt, inaugurating its Cairo office and hosting the debut International Procurement & Supply Chain Conference (IPSC), marking a strategic step in the company’s Middle East and North Africa (MENA) growth

Speaking at the event, Dr. Sathya Menon, Group CEO of Blue Ocean Corporation, said the conference underscored Egypt’s readiness to play a larger role in global supply chains, noting that the level of engagement and industry participation confirmed Egypt’s rising profile in international trade
The conference, held under the theme “Reinventing the New Trade Equation: From Egypt to the World”, attracted more than 1,000 delegates, representing 400+ organizations, and featured over 30 international speakers from logistics, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, energy, retail, agriculture, technology, and government-linked sectors
Ahmed Elshazly, Senior Economic Researcher and Maritime Analyst at the Suez Canal Authority, highlighted Egypt’s growing status as a smart and competitive trade hub, supported by the strategic role of the Suez Canal in facilitating global trade flows
In his keynote, Dr. Menon described supply chains as the “economic nervous system of the 21st century,” emphasizing that today’s major global challenges — from geopolitics to inflation and sustainability — are fundamentally rooted in supply chain dynamics
