STEM & AI Challenge 2025 Launched at the Fourth Egyptian Women’s Summit

The Fifty Most Influential Women Forum, in partnership with the Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness Center (IECC) at Nile University, announced the launch of the STEM & AI Challenge 2025, a national platform designed to empower university students in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), and to support innovative ideas in artificial intelligence and future technologies
The challenge represents the first strategic partnership of its kind between academia, civil society and the private sector, and comes as part of the fourth edition of the Egyptian Women’s Summit, held under the auspices of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, in cooperation with the National Council for Women and with the active participation of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency, under the slogan:
“The Future of Women in Science, Technology and Innovation – STEM and Future Innovation Summit
The initiative witnessed strong engagement, receiving 160 project submissions from students representing more than 28 Egyptian universities, reflecting the growing role of Egyptian universities in fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and practical solutions in STEM and AI
The program included several stages:
A selection and qualification phase, during which 30 projects were chosen
Intensive training workshops covering business model development and effective pitching
Shortlisting of 15 finalist teams, all of whom received digital training certificates
The final presentations were held on 8 December at Nile University, where 15 teams presented their projects. The award ceremony will take place on 14 December, during which six winning projects will be honored and granted financial prizes. In addition, Nile University will offer the winners two personalized mentoring sessions and the opportunity to join the university’s entrepreneurship and student innovation programs
Nile University played a pivotal role in hosting the training and presentation phases and in providing professional and entrepreneurial development programs through its IECC, offering a supportive environment that integrates academic knowledge with applied innovation
The challenge is implemented with strategic support and sponsorship from Taqa Arabia and Suez Canal Bank, reflecting their strong commitment to promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and youth and women’s empowerment in technology and science
