Orange Egypt has launched its first Digital Training Center in Upper Egypt, in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and in partnership with Aswan University, marking a major milestone in empowering youth and advancing digital skills development across the region

The newly inaugurated Orange Digital Center in Aswan is part of Orange Egypt’s corporate social responsibility strategy, supported by the German government, aimed at equipping young people with high-demand digital skills and preparing them for the modern labor market through free technical training and innovation support

The initiative builds on the success of the Orange Digital Center in Cairo, launched in 2021, which has trained thousands of young Egyptians and significantly enhanced their employability and digital capabilities

Dr. Louay Saad El-Din Nosrat, President of Aswan University, stated that hosting the center aligns with Egypt’s national strategy for digital transformation and human capital development, helping bridge the gap between academic education and real market needs

Maha Nagy, Vice President for Public Relations, Media, and Corporate Communications at Orange Egypt, emphasized that empowering youth remains a strategic priority, confirming the company’s commitment to expanding digital learning hubs nationwide to support innovation and inclusive growth

Meanwhile, Shereera Wasfi, Head of Governance and Community Development at GIZ, highlighted that the project represents a successful model of public-private development cooperation, enhancing access to technology in underserved communities and promoting youth-led digital transformation

The center provides free in-person and online training programs in software development, embedded systems, data analytics, cybersecurity, electronics, and rapid prototyping, in addition to organizing hackathons, competitions, and innovation workshops to foster entrepreneurship and bridge the digital divide in Upper Egypt
