The Insurance Federation of Egypt (IFE) proudly announces the launch of the Azza Arfeen Research Competition, to be held on the sidelines of the 7th Sharm El-Sheikh Rendezvous, taking place 8–10 November 2025 under the theme
“Insurance in the Era of Uncertainty”
This prestigious competition invites innovative, insightful, and well-documented research addressing one of the following topics
Interconnected Emerging Risks – Building resilience to climate, geopolitical, and economic shocks
Understanding the Customer of Tomorrow and Today – Rethinking insurance engagement from Gen Z to silver seniors
Facing the Future – Addressing AI and digital transformation challenges in insurance
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be 50 years of age or younger as of 1 November 2025
Research must be original, unpublished, and not have won any other competition (maximum plagiarism allowed: 20%)
Submissions accepted in Arabic or English only
Previous winners of the 2024 competition are not eligible
Papers must be scientifically documented with references
Employees of the IFE are not allowed to participate
Submission Deadline
All entries must be received no later than midnight (Cairo time) on 1 October 2025.

Length: 12–15 pages
Font: Times New Roman, size 14
Line spacing: 1.15
File format: PDF
Co-authored papers are allowed (one submission per participant/team).
Required Files
Main Research File – Includes headers/footers with page numbers and a short title; no author names in the file.
Abstract – One page (max. 150 words). If in Arabic, submit both Arabic and English abstracts

Judging Process..
A panel of leading insurance experts from Egypt and abroad will evaluate all entries and select the top three winners.
Awards & Recognition..
Winners announced on 31 October 2025.
All winning papers will be published on the Rendezvous website
Winners will receive free registration and accommodation during the conference.
The top 3 winners will present their research in a dedicated session and receive..
