AI for FinTech Hackathon Launched in Egypt to Empower Youth and Foster FinTech Innovation

Egypt has officially launched the AI for FinTech Hackathon as part of the FinTech Egypt initiative, organized by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT)
The initiative aims to develop youth skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Business Analytics, reinforcing Egypt’s vision for digital transformation and technological advancement
The hackathon offered university students and young innovators the opportunity to address real-world challenges in the banking and financial sectors, using AI and data-driven solutions to design innovative digital tools. The program also nurtured a new generation of FinTech professionals equipped to meet evolving market needs
A graduation ceremony concluded the event, where participants presented their final projects to industry experts and decision-makers. Officials emphasized the hackathon’s crucial role in bridging the gap between academic learning and market applications, empowering youth with hands-on experience and entrepreneurial skills
The winners will receive professional mentorship and financial support to further develop their projects, along with cash prizes and potential employment opportunities within Egypt’s rapidly growing FinTech ecosystem
