LG ELECTRONICS EARNS “TOP 1%” SUSTAINABILITY RANKING FROM S&P GLOBAL FOR THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR

LG Electronics has been awarded a “Top 1%” ranking in S&P Global’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) for the third consecutive year, achieving a score of 77 out of 100. The company also secured the highest score in the Leisure Equipment & Products and Consumer Electronics industry category, underscoring its continued leadership in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance
LG Electronics delivered strong and consistent results across key ESG indicators, including environmental management policies, human rights practices, supply chain sustainability, and customer relations. The company also earned high marks in governance, reflecting its commitment to transparency and continued efforts to enhance the independence and effectiveness of its board structure
The S&P Global CSA evaluates thousands of companies worldwide on ESG performance. In the latest assessment, only 70 companies out of 9,243 across 62 industries achieved the “Top 1%” distinction. LG Electronics was among just two Korean companies to receive this recognition

Beyond S&P Global, LG Electronics continues to strengthen its global ESG credentials. The company has been included in the Dow Jones Best-in-Class (DJ BIC) World Index for 14 consecutive years, marking the longest-standing record for a Korean home appliance manufacturer and placing LG among the top 10% of the world’s 2,500 largest companies in sustainability performance
In addition, LG Electronics upgraded its MSCI ESG rating to “AA” this year after maintaining an “A” rating for five years. The company also received a “Platinum” rating from EcoVadis for the second consecutive year, placing it within the top 1% of global companies, and was assigned a “Low Risk” ESG rating by Sustainalytics
